Panama, September 28, 2022. Initiating the path to sustainable mobility was the central theme of the business breakfast held in Panama City, featuring speakers from Mexico and Panama, experts, and opinion leaders in electromobility.
The event took place at Hotel Riu Plaza with the participation of various sectors and industries. Representing the government, Alexander Fragueiro, Consultant of Electric Mobility from the National Energy Secretariat in Panama, Federico Fernandez, Director of OTEPI Renewables and President of the Panamanian Chamber of Solar Energy, Eduardo López Victoria, President of the Panamanian Electric Mobility Chamber, and Krystel Villalvazo, Partner Account Manager for Central America and the Caribbean at Geotab, attended alongside executives and fleet managers from significant companies representing the business sector in Panama.

The welcoming remarks and presentation of Intelligis as an authorized Geotab distributor for Central America and the Caribbean were delivered by José Manuel Nagel, CEO of Intelligis. Krystel Villalvazo highlighted the benefits of telematics to guests, demonstrating how its technology and innovation can optimize vehicle management through machine learning algorithms, big data, and comparisons with other fleets in the market, leveraging data from over 3 million connected vehicles worldwide.

“One of the key considerations for companies is ensuring that the transition to an electric fleet meets every operational need, which is why with MyGeotab, we aim to facilitate this transition to electric vehicles securely, based on advanced analytics using the EVSA tool. This aims to reduce fuel consumption and other costs, exhaust emissions—including CO2—and vehicle wear while enhancing safety,” said Krystel Villalvazo. With more companies committed to environmental sustainability and resource optimization, they seek strategies for cleaner mobility to achieve their business objectives.
Alexander Fragueiro, Consultant of Electric Mobility from the National Energy Secretariat, presented sustainability objectives and the adoption of electromobility in Panama from a governmental perspective. The event concluded with a panel discussion featuring experts and guests, addressing questions and offering recommendations for a secure transition to electromobility.
