From June 9–14, 2024, Intelligis took part in a key initiative aimed at boosting the international expansion of Latin American tech startups: the Miami LAC Gateway 2024. Organized by TechnoArt and sponsored by BID Lab, this program brought together just 16 high-potential startups selected from over 250 applicants representing Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, and Panama.
The event marked a significant milestone as the first of its kind organized by the IDB in the United States, positioning Miami as a strategic gateway for Latin American companies entering the U.S. market.
Delego: Scalable Technology with a Global Mindset
Representing Intelligis, CEO José Manuel Nagel and Strategic Alliances Director Jesús Sosa presented Delego, our platform designed to optimize field operations. Already driving results in industries such as healthcare, logistics, distribution, and technical services across Latin America, Delego was recognized at the event for its strong potential to scale and adapt to new markets.
Delego stood out for its powerful operational features, including real-time task assignment, route automation, operational traceability, and actionable data analytics. Its modular architecture makes it ideal for companies looking to expand quickly and efficiently.
“Participating in Miami LAC Gateway gave us a direct channel to validate Delego’s potential within the U.S. business ecosystem and connect with partners committed to regional growth,” said José Manuel Nagel.
Strategic Engagements and Local Ecosystem Connections
As part of the agenda, the Intelligis team held high-level meetings with key players in Florida’s business ecosystem. One highlight was the visit to the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, a public-private organization focused on driving local economic development. The team explored collaboration opportunities and access to business intelligence to support our expansion strategy.
Legal, financial, and operational support were also core themes during the week. Intelligis began planning the next steps toward U.S. incorporation in partnership with PAGLAW, a legal firm specialized in supporting Latin American tech companies entering the U.S. market.
Media Connections and Latino Impact
The delegation also met with executives from Univision / Televisa, where the “Media for Equity” initiative was introduced. This innovative model offers advertising exposure in exchange for equity—an opportunity that has already helped startups accelerate growth. The visit concluded with an inspiring keynote from journalist Jorge Ramos on the transformational power of the Latino community in the U.S.
Intelligis: Building Technology that Transcends Borders
Our participation in Miami LAC Gateway 2024 represents a key milestone in Intelligis’ mission to develop technology that solves real-world operational challenges and scales across markets. This step forward for Delego reinforces our vision to support companies seeking greater efficiency, visibility, and control—now, with a clear path to international expansion.
